ECIC is a school that caters to the needs of expatriate students in the 21st century. It provides a learning environment that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to succeed in a global society. The Alberta Program of Study, which is internationally recognized, is used to support Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL), a student-centered approach that has been shown to improve problem-solving skills.
At ECIC, subjects such as math, English, social studies, and science arts are taught in real-life contexts, which allows students to apply multiple intelligences. By actively engaging students in the learning process, they learn how to learn, develop a sense of security and belonging, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world.
As global citizens, it is important that our students are able to think, communicate, and succeed on an international level, and the school’s educational approach reflects and supports these expectations.
